It is with great regret that we are closing Splay Ltd. and splay.ca/™ effective immediately. Our corporation has been under a sustained cyberattack for the past three weeks, spreading falsehoods about our executive officers and owner. While every accusation can be proven false beyond a reasonable doubt in any court of law, the expense and time would be catastrophic and drain our resources and risk putting our assets into receivership within the United States, but also within the Commonwealth and European Union.
Unfortunately, an unknown person with a grudge that we cannot even begin to fathom has caused great damage to our reputation and has committed criminal defamation and libel in at least four countries. National law enforcement authorities in each of these countries have opened criminal investigations and we do not rule out future civil legal action.
Intellectual Property and multimedia assets will be transferred into to a series of holding companies to protect any further damage to our key relationships and tangible, as well as intangible assets.
Founder and President Brian-Michel Larue will continue to run the corporations, partnerships, and holding company as operations wind down.
“I find this result particularly grotesque as a reflection upon our society: violence begets violence, violence ruins a business committed to progress and diversity. We employed and championed women and people of color. We promoted young, local artists.
I have nothing more to say.”
Brian-Michel Larue, President, Splay Ltd.
